Good evening friends,
Market Trading Flat?
Today on a certain financial channel, someone said “the market was trading flat with no direction”. What market are they watching? I strongly disagree, this market does have direction, and it's up. NASDAQ was less than one point away from setting a new high again today. It's powering forward into earnings releases this week. Bulletin stocks making new highs today were TGA, NANX, AZPN, ALTI, VC, IMOS, AXTI, CORV, CPHD, WTER, TGAL, IONA, ITIG, and TMR. Also, Last night's OTC bb stock TMXN was up 22% today along with the free pick I released to the free board Friday night after the close. The freebie pick was another nano play NPCT, and it went up from .31 at the time of my special notice to a high of .53 today; up .71% today alone.
Our Short Play
Homebuilders continue their slide and they are looking very weak. You will love this news if you are short a couple of those stocks like I am. Our long positions are going up and our short positions are going down; isn't that how it's supposed to work? It's nice to be right on the long side but when you are also right on the short side in a bull market, it just makes your bottom line go up that much faster. It's tough to short a bull market but it can be done if you are very careful and short the groups that the smart money is rotating out of. The home builders are just one of those groups.
Nano Plays
Our nanotechs are on fire so don't think you've missed the boat. This is what I mean when I say buy high and sell higher. We know these hot stocks have run up a lot, but that is just it, they are hot and will remain hot, in my opinion. This is called momentum and when stocks get on a roll backed by momentum, there is no telling how high they can go. Chip stocks continue on their run also with most of them at 52-week highs along with the SOX index. INTC reports this week so be prepared for either a nice rally into new highs on the good news or (as what seems to happen with INTC lately) a “sell the news” scenario may occur. Any selling should be met with buying so don't panic and cash in all your chips.
No Pushing
Stocks are standing in line to get on the bulletin. Folks, it's that good these days. Many stocks deserve to be listed but we can't remove good stocks just to make way for others. Rest assured when is removed due to a lack of performance or volume; there will another one right there to take its place. When we have 50 stocks on the bulletin each night you know things are going very well in the market for us. With 50 stocks on the bulletin, I will only update the comments on a particular stock if there is a significant event, like making a new high, breaking a trend, or if I have traded the stock. There is just too much to update each night when the list gets this big.
You'll notice some asterisks (*) on the bulletin tonight. We are dumping some stocks to make room for others. These stocks still have good charts but there are even better charts out there so I'll drop the “worst of the best” on our list to see if we can find more hot stocks moving now. I may sell some of my weaker positions tomorrow to free up some margin and cash but it will only be temporary; I'll be buying new stocks shortly after with the extra buying power.
