Good evening friends,
The NASDAQ looks like it might finally try to get something started and it looks like it's coming right down to the final week of trading for 2003. There is still that chance we could see that elusive 2000 level next week. Other then the NASDAQ's nice performance today it was a relatively flat day for the Dow and the energy stocks sold off in a sector wide rotation. This may be just a shake out, we have some very good stocks with good patterns but if the sector is selling off, all boats will sink, even the good ones so we must keep watch.
There are very few updates to the Bulletin tonight, I updated only those that I thought warranted an update. I also updated the short sheet tonight for the short sellers in the membership. I would not recommend taking any new short positions at this time. Shorting some of the big winners of 2003 like the housing stocks, might be a good move next week leading into the first week of January. Some of these big winners get sold early in the year so profits can be gained without paying the taxes until 2005. This may very well happen to the big winners of 2003 so be watchful for that activity.
I have no new stocks to add tonight and I would urge you all to take the day off tomorrow and spend it with your loved ones, I will do the same. I want to take this time to wish all of you and your families and very Merry Christmas. If you are traveling, please drive safe and have a happy holiday with your family and friends. Reminder **Holiday schedule** The Bulletin will be produced on 21- 23 December. The market is open a half day on the 24th and 26th of December. I will not produce a bulletin on Christmas day for the 26th half day of trade. The next bulletin after the 23rd will be Sunday the 28th. I will produce a bulletin on New Year's day for the 2nd of January trading.
