Good evening friends,
The market action today was very good. I love to see higher level consolidation in the overall market before the next advance (basing if you will). This side ways action is just what we need. The NASDAQ was down most of the day but came back in the last hour to finish just slightly in the green. While the market was trading flat, our bulletin stocks continue to power forward and some are making new highs. These stocks include TIWI, ARTX, EGOV, GEMS, PRTL, GBN, TRPH, EAG, IVAN, TWAV, WGAT, FNSR and OCPI. All these are making new highs on a flat to down day in the over all market.
I hope you all participated in my alerts today. I bought EAG at 1.23 and it is now above 1.80 in AH. I also bought HEC again at .60. I mentioned last week that I thought HEC would move down to .60 and that would be our chance to add to our position. It bounced back to close at .65. Not a big bounce but I think the bottom has been put in. Keep tight stops if you bought in today, just in case.
For those of you who can't take advantage of the mid-day alerts because of your job or other circumstances, I would urge you to just pick some stocks on the bulletin - we have 48 tonight - and just buy them. If you buy and hold these stocks, I am confident you will be happy with your results one year from now if you don't look at the every day ups and downs. The trend is up on all of these stocks. I don't recommend stocks that are in a downtrend. If the trend is up, then the stock price will go up until that trend is broken and with a bull market upon us, up trends are here to stay for quite some time, in my opinion.
A batch of good earnings reports came out after the close including bellwethers CSCO and QCOM. This should confirm the continued up trend in the NASDAQ. Tomorrow could be a very good day for us. I am not anticipating an INTC like sell-the-news scenario this time.
I am almost out of cash; I only have room for a few more stocks and I want the ones on the watch list. I will continue to scan for stocks each night but as long as the Bulletin is full, there will be no new stocks unless I see something that I believe will be an obvious breakout play that we must get into immediately. I will have those for you if I should find some while we have a full boat. I will make room for 51 and 52 for these rare exceptions. We can't risk missing these winners just because the bulletin is full. It's like pumpkin pie on thanksgiving, you gorge yourself at the meal and you're stuffed to death but you know you will still force that pumpkin pie down at the end.
Same with these new stocks, we just have to have them so don't worry; they will be here if I see them. I may soon go on margin if we break the 2000 level. The problem is we need our stocks to get above 5.00 to give us more margin buying power. Right now, with so many stocks below 5.00, our margin power is limited.
For those of you who made good gains on IVAN and EAG this week, please remember your loved ones. Bring your wife home some flowers and take her to dinner. Spend some joyful time with your kids; maybe take them to a movie or park to play. Life is so beautiful and we take the little things for granted until they are not there for us anymore. I'm just happy to be alive and enjoying my life to the fullest with my loved ones and friends. God bless all of you and your families. I'll see you all Thursday night.
