Good evening friends,
What a great day to start off the week with all indices making new 52 week highs today. We got off to a great start this morning with a slight pull back at mid day and then a decent finish at the close. Although we didn't close at the highs of the day, I'm satisfied with the manner in which we closed and I think tomorrow will be another up day until the news leaks of INTC earnings and then we'll see how we close. INTC reports earnings after the bell so that will be a big factor in Wednesday's trading on the NASDAQ. I personally think INTC will have good news but I could be wrong. If you are holding small cap chip stocks such as TWAV, you better hope the news is good or these stocks could get torn up in a big way after hours tomorrow. Of course it's not just the chips stocks that will be affected; the entire NASDAQ and tech sector is at the mercy of this tech giant so we'll see how it goes.
Meanwhile, today we had several Bulletin stocks making new 52 week highs along with the NASDAQ, they included TMWD, HEC, CVM, TWAV, TWTC, MSSN, TMTA, IVAN, AUDC, PFSW and NENG, you've had 5 months to get in this thing we've been calling the king, surely you must own it buy now? Congrats to those who do. Tonight I have brought back some of our previous Bulletin stocks for another look at them. They have started to look a little better since we dropped them so I wanted to put them back on the list to watch again. Be careful with WBR, it's back on my list but just as before, I'll warn you that this is not a short term trade. This is more of a bet on a turn around play. I've stayed in their hotels and I love them so I am partial to the company, not the stock though. I don't fall in love with stocks but I do like this chart the way it's shaping up. I originally bought this for the long term and I couldn't get myself to keep it could not clear the next buy point and close above it. I think I'll enter it once again. The shady challenge is still on and I will not to let it affect the Bulletin picks in the future. I have to put stocks on the Bulletin when I like them regardless of weather or not it's somebody's play before the Bulletin is published on Sundays. It's a good way for all contestants to see how they are doing and some have picked some great stocks and members are benefiting from those great picks. We are all here for a common goal and the Shady Challenge is helping all of us. I looked at all the Shady Challenge stocks and I do admit, there were some I did not think would move, example is PACW. Good pick who ever picked that because I saw nothing that said it would move up 42% today. That move alone gets it back on the bulletin tonight, not to buy right now but to just watch and hopefully, we'll see a pullback and a flag consolidation so we can get another chance to get in. A lot of stocks looking good now and I think we can safely put more money to work. I'm just waiting on the INTC earnings first to make sure we are not buying the high just before the slide (should there be one) on bad INTC earnings. I'm in the camp that thinks the news will be good but I'm not willing to bet my portfolio on it. I'll see you all Tuesday night
* REMINDER- I am coaching in a fall baseball tournament in Nevada on the 16-18 Oct. It's a five-hour drive so I will be leaving Wednesday night the 15th. Because of this, only a quick Bulletin will be issued the 15th. I will issue a full Bulletin from Nevada Thursday evening from the hotel providing I have connection. If not, there will be no Bulletin for that night. I will not be on the boards Thursday or Friday the 16th and 17th but will view all posts in the evenings from the hotel. This is the final baseball tournament of the season. |
