How much of my entire trading capital should I allocate to any one stock?
First of all, we recommend that you make sure you are only trading with money that if lost would not alter your lifestyle. There are inherent risks to trading and being disciplined in your actions is very important. If you have a small trading portfolio then you may only be able to carry 4 - 5 positions in a stock at any given time. That would mean allocating no more than 20% of your total trading capital towards any one stock. A small portfolio may be defined as under $10,000 allocated.
